The Gravitas Of The Media

CBSNEWS Chief White House correspondent John Roberts: “So, Scott, you said that -- or the President said, repeatedly, that Harriet Miers was the best person for the job. So does that mean that Alito is sloppy seconds, or what?”

These people are so full of theirselves I do not know how they are able to tear away from the mirror long enough to go to a White House news conference. It is obvious that Roberts considers it appropriate to be nothing more than an ankle biting critic of the Presidency with nothing of substance to contribute to the dialogue. He attempts to trivialize the Presidency rather than asking appropriate questions about the nomination of Judge Alito. The original networks fail to make the connection between their partisan politics and the departure of their viewer base.

This question qualifies as the Official Big Bubba Dumb Press Question of the Day.

Supreme Court Pick Pandemonium

Today President Bush told the nation that he was nominating Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. I have just found out that the demoracist's have labeled him "Scalito." I have never been able to fully comprehend how the demoracists are able to insult and humiliate their base and get away with it. Tanked Ted has said that there are "serious concerns" about Judge Alito's qualifications. Tanked Ted said things are serious yet the demoracists flippantly label Judge Alito "Scalito."

Am I the only one to notice that serious drunks, like Tanked Ted, think everything is serious? Is he simply a drama queen or is everything serious viewed through the bottom of a glass? Tanked Ted made his remark in response to Republicans enlightening the press this morning with numerous quotes of demoracist Senators who thought Judge Alito was a warm, wonderful human being, and a terrific jurist, the last time they voted for his confirmation. We are about to witness flip flopping the likes of which have not been seen since the last fishing fleet unloaded at the docks.

The demoracists are just besides theirselves on this one,

".....too radical for the American people." _ Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

"..........likely to divide America." --Charles Schumer, D-NY

"You [Alito] Have Obviously Had A Very Distinguished Record, And I Certainly Commend You For Long Service In The Public Interest. I Think It Is A Very Commendable Career And I Am Sure You Will Have A Successful One As A Judge." --Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-MA (4/5/90)

"Rather Than Selecting A Nominee For The Good Of The Nation And The Court, President Bush Has Picked A Nominee Whom He Hopes Will Stop The Massive Hemorrhaging Of Support On His Right Wing. This Is A Nomination Based On Weakness, Not On Strength." --Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-MA (10/31/05)

Sunday Bits & Pieces

I awoke this morning to some unknown visiting talking head pundit suggest President Bush's "next move." His suggestion was that President Bush should have Karl Rove resign to show the American people that he wanted his administration "to be clean." What is it about Karl Rove that makes these people so unhinged?

Speaking of unhinged. Here is an interesting theory why the pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracists are so unhinged. Can we find the answer in "The Paranoid Style in American Politics?"

Don't miss Joe Wilson appearing tonight on a 60 Minutes whine episode. Joe claims that there have been threats to his wife. It will be broadcast Sunday Oct. 30 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Go here if you want to think some more about this issue.

If Harry Reid, D-Nev, plays marbles I think I know where at least one of them comes from. What is it about Karl Rove that makes the demoracists come so unhinged? Obviously Karl Rove must be the most effective political advisor that any President has ever had. What else is the explanation for the pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracist's take no prisoners, no holds barred all out assault on the President to remove Karl Rove? I think that Harry Reid should apologize to his constituents for ineffective representation.

Some stories just have to make you feel good. These feel good stories just overload you with the warm fuzzies. Like the story about how yet another lawyer made his fortune.

'Exterminate white people'
Ex-NCSU instructor sounds off
By TIM SIMMONS, Staff Writer

Political Web sites throughout the country are crackling this week in response to statements by a former instructor at N.C. State University, who said blacks must "exterminate white people off the face of the planet."

Kamau Kambon, an author who taught in NCSU's Africana Studies program as recently as last spring, made the comments Oct. 14 during a conference at Howard University in Washington.

In Case You Have Forgotton

The obfuscation by the national media of the facts of the Affaire Flame have reached epic portions. This article is a great recounting of exactly what the facts are in the Affaire Flame.

Special Report: Judith Miller Exonerates Bush Officials
By Cliff Kincaid
October 17, 2005

The true facts in the CIA-leak case are now becoming astonishingly clear. New York Times reporter Judith Miller's testimony, as she describes it in the Sunday edition of her paper, proves that the wrong people are under investigation. It's not really a story about Bush officials Lewis Libby and Karl Rove and their conversations with the press. Rather, it's a story about a CIA bureaucracy working to undermine the Bush administration through the media and cover up for its own mistakes.

It's now obvious that Bush officials are spending time before a grand jury and big money on lawyers for the alleged "crime" of trying to use the press to get out their side of the story. They trusted the press and got burned. Now, if the media have their way, these officials may be further punished by being indicted by Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. This would be a gross miscarriage of justice.

Question of the Day

Why is Tom DeLay smiling? After all, he's been indicted. Forced out of his job as House majority leader. And called into court for fingerprinting and a mugshot like a common criminal.

Answer: Tom DeLay knows that Ronnie Earle and his persecution, oops prosecution, is a joke. He knows that he will be found innocent. He also knows that he may receive a huge amount of political capitol if the demoracists get too carried away drooling all over their collective selves hoping for Tom DeLay's destruction.

How Do I Hate Thee? Let Me Count The Ways.....

Vast left-wing conspiracy invents Clinton complex
The wing conspirators are at it again, but this time it's the left demonizing the right. Make that "Freudinizing."
Apr 10, 2002
by Kathleen Parker

The wing conspirators are at it again, but this time it's the left demonizing the right. Make that "Freudinizing." In two recent instances, spokespersons on the left have opined that the right's "hatred" of former President Bill Clinton is a function of "Freudian projection." That is, those who hate Clinton really hate themselves. Both Paul Begala, former Clinton adviser and now one-fourth of CNN's "Crossfire," and David Brock, journalist and erstwhile right-wing conspirator, have used the same language - psychological projection - to describe Clinton's opponents. Mere coincidence? Or the outlines of a vast left-wing conspiracy? I first noticed the suggestion that Clinton-hating is really a psychological pathology while reading a Barnes and Noble interview with Brock following publication of his latest confessional, "Blinded by the Right: The Conscience of an Ex-Conservative." The B&N interviewer (www.bn.com) asked Brock why he thought conservatives hated (and still hate) liberals such as Bill and Hillary Clinton. Brock: "Clinton-hating is a complex phenomenon, more an emotional aversion than an intellectual one." (Translation: too hard for ignoramuses on the right to understand.) Also: "Clinton-hating is a psychological phenomenon: They see in the Clintons the very qualities that they hate in themselves."

Congressional Probe!

Congressional probe! Those are chilling words that cause panic to miscreants globally. The probe always begins with a probe of the taxpayer's purse for the necessary millions to throw at the problem and make it go away. Here is a tidbit of what the Congressional Probe of the Affaire Plame has recently uncovered through the testimony of Judith Miller.

"In her testimony, Miller acknowledged her own stories suggesting Iraq had weapons of mass destruction were flawed by sources with wrong information. But Miller argued that "even flawed reporters should not be jailed for protecting even flawed sources." (BREITBART.COM)

Fancy that. Miller may have gotten something wrong. There is even an intimation !gasp! that sources may have provided her with wrong information. What is this going to do to the credibility of the New York Times and their gullible knee jerk core readership who believe everything the New York Times publishes as gospel?

Looking For Mr. Goodnews

I am looking for some good news. The Iraq elections have come and gone without incident. Is there some good news to report about the elections? What about terrorist attacks? I know that there was a casualty today, but I have not seen any reports about the incidence. I have not noticed any reports about major terrorist attacks in the last few days. This may be perplexing to some people, but, not Big Bubba.

It is not about winning or losing in Iraq. It is about hatred of Bush. It is not about terror warnings in the subways of New York or a Baltimore tunnel. It is about hatred of Bush. It is not about CIA operatives, Joe Wilson or Dick Cheney. It is about hatred of Bush. The Bush haters have no problem maintaining their "hate Bush"leitmotiv when the news is bad. When the news is good, or favorable to President Bush, they are stopped dead. You cannot rewrite history until it is actually history. They set this up by ignoring any meaningful reporting about any positive event. Plenty of time for rewrites once John Q. Public's attention is directed elsewhere.

This is life. This is real. Something bad will happen. Then the Bush haters will be back to trumpet their glee over casualties, political reversals or indictments that they will use any means possible to connect with the President. Personally I am amazed to watch the demoracist going down in flames because they cannot do something about their unnatural fixation on Bush hating. Someone needs to turn the wheel and get the ship back on course. They need leadership, but, alas they are leaderless. Look at the names that come to mind. Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, Algore, Hanoi John, Bill Clinton. Like I said, leaderless.

Tom DeLay's Crime

Texas is an interesting study in what went wrong when the Democratic Party decided to become the progressive liberal demoracist party. Texans my age grew up around Democrat politics, the only game in town. People spent their entire voting age life pulling the Democrat Party lever. A Republican could not be elected dog catcher anywhere in The Great State of Texas. For one thing no self respecting citizen would humiliate himself and embarrass his family by association with the Republican Party. The Democrats had a lock and they blew it.

There was a period of time when Texans happily voted Republican for President and Democrat on down the rest of the ticket. That was very time consuming for people used to pulling one lever. In the end it was like the little hole in the dam that became larger and larger. I voted Republican for President why not John Tower for Senator? Soon the Democratic Party of Texas was spiraling out of existence as a serious political force in the Great State of Texas. The national party's decision to become the progressive liberal demoracist party did not help at all the Texas Democrat's struggle to stay in power.

Here's a nice, balanced piece in The Washington Times about Tom DeLay's crimes against the Democratic Party of Texas.

The Washington Times
Redistricting in Texas
TODAY'S EDITORIAL
October 6, 2005

Before former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay began playing Texas statewide politics the same way Democrats had been playing the political game in the Lone Star state for years, the Democratic legislative delegations in Texas and the U.S. House of Representatives had a great ride, which lasted far longer than it should have. No wonder Democrats in Texas and Washington despise him so much.

A Piece of Pie for You Slackers

Don't become bored and fail to read this from start to finish. Keep the thought in your mind, as you read, intelligent design or random chance. Can the Hand of God be discerned moving through a string of transcendental numbers racing to infinity and beyond? I encountered so many fascinating points to ponder in this article I do not know where to start. I was very immersed in being awed by the technology discussed in this article. Then I came to understand that the article had been written in the early 1990s. I think I may have fallen somewhat behind in my technical knowledge. There is a discussion of mathematics, language, and randomness, toward the end of the piece, that will bring to mind the Bible Code. This is a fascinating read about eccentric people, supercomputers and our very small place in the realms of infinity.

The Mountains of Pi
by Richard Preston

Gregory Volfovich Chudnovsky recently built a supercomputer in his apartment from mail-order parts. Gregory Chudnovsky is a number theorist. His apartment is situated near the top floor of a run-down building on the West Side of Manhattan, in a neighborhood near Columbia University. Not long ago, a human corpse was found dumped at the end of the block. The world's most powerful supercomputers include the Cray Y-MP C90, the Thinking Machines CM-5, the Hitachi S-820/80, the nCube, the Fujitsu parallel machine, the Kendall Square Research parallel machine, the NEC SX-3, the Touchstone Delta, and Gregory Chudnovsky's apartment. The apartment seems to be a kind of container for the supercomputer at least as much as it is a container for people.

Gregory Chudnovsky's partner in the design and construction of the supercomputer was his older brother, David Volfovich Chudnovsky, who is also a mathematician, and who lives five blocks away from Gregory. The Chudnovsky brothers call their machine m zero. It occupies the former living room of Gregory's-apartment, and its tentacles reach into other rooms. The brothers claim that m zero is a "true, general-purpose supercomputer," and that it is as fast and powerful as a somewhat older Cray Y-MP, but it is not as fast as the latest of the Y-MP machines, the C90, an advanced supercomputer made by Cray Research. A Cray Y-MP C90 costs more than thirty million dollars. It is a black monolith, seven feet tall and eight feet across, in the shape of a squat cylinder, and is cooled by liquid freon. So far, the brothers have spent around seventy thousand dollars on parts for their supercomputer, and much of the money has come out of their wives' pockets.

More Failure In Iraq

Failure of the terrorists to prevail that is. There were thirteen terrorist attacks on Election Day in Iraq. The last election there were 317 terrorist attacks. Progress is being made in Iraq whether pseudo intellectual progressive liberals believe it or not. The science is simple. Track down insurgents and arrest them or kill them. It has a calming effect on the streets of Iraq. Killing them is an act of mercy allowing the terrorists immediate access to all the virgins of paradise that they are qualified to receive. The process may also be a beneficial example for what the Saudi royal bandits, Iranian mullahs, and Syrian gangsters can expect when their day comes.

Big Bubba's Big Mistake of the Day

There were actually two silly stories today. Leave it to ABC to out silly Matt Drudge. After all they have been in the silly business for many, many more years than Drudge.

Bush Teleconference With Soldiers Staged
President Bush Teleconference With U.S. Troops Was Choreographed to Match His Goals for Iraq War
By DEB RIECHMANN Associated Press Writer
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON Oct 13, 2005 — It was billed as a conversation with U.S. troops, but the questions President Bush asked on a teleconference call Thursday were choreographed to match his goals for the war in Iraq and Saturday's vote on a new Iraqi constitution.

Why do these ABC hack slugs assume that we are as brain dead as they are? This story is not only the silliest story I have read today, and it is quite possibly the silliest that I have read so far this year. Do they really think that a cross continents video teleconference is going to take place without the participants being briefed on procedures, protocols and administrative details? Scott McClellan had to explain the process to reporters. Catch the irony? Slugs sitting there with looks of inquisitive wonder on their collective faces pretending not to understand the problems of cross continent video conferencing while McClellan tries to explain it to them. Wait a minute. Isn't that what reporters do sometimes? They have trouble understanding what they do? You guys! You wild and crazy guys!

I wonder what this story would have looked like if President Bush had come up with some good old fashioned pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracist angst type of questions. Why do you hate me? Why are you children fighting my war? Do you have any idea how much money Dick is making off this war? Why did the Supreme Court have to make me President? They could have finished off the video conference with a rousing sing along of old favorites like Koom-by-ya, Michael Row the Boat Ashore and finish up with Give Peace a Chance.

Another Great Victory!

The progressive liberal secular humanists have scored another great victory in their campaign to improve our public education system by making it Godless and totally lacking in moral direction. A New Jersey high school football coach has resigned his position when he was ordered to stop leading his team in a pregame prayer.

This doesn't make sense to most of us. It has been said, however, that everyone will understand the genius of the progressive liberal secular humanists when this nation becomes a province of Red China and our children struggle with using their fingers to count.

Teddy Does Stand-up Comedy

Today's Silly Commentary - Courtesy of Matt Drudge

Matt Drudge regales the unwary with a report about "hidden" Harriet Meiers testimony. Where was it hiding? Under Mr. Ducky's bed with a fundamentalist? What was this lurid "hidden" testimony? According to Drudge in 1990, "she “wouldn’t belong to the Federalist Society” – a conservative and libertarian lawyers’ organization – because it was “politically charged." Fearless Matt Drudge then observes (with an exclamation point), "But Bush's Supreme Court nominee did not include in that catagory (sic) the NAACP and other liberal groups, the transcript reveals!"

Matt, here's another hot scoop. She also didn't mention the YWCA, Girl Scouts, The Micky Mouse Club, the DAR, and many, many more. Now, what do you make of that? Slow news day Drudge? Intern doing your work for you? Matt goes on to breathlessly inform his readers that Harriet Meiers, way back then, had joined a liberal democrat organization. Now, whoa pardner, you say she joined a what? Let me see if I understand the implications here. Harriet Meiers, the Democrat, joined a Democrat organization? Matt Drudge offers no opinion as to why a Democrat would join a Democrat organization. Really deceptive stuff. Democrats joining Democrat organizations, what’s next? The important thing is that after enduring the shrinking size of the dimly lit broom closet of demoracist intellectual and political thought she finally stepped out into the sunshine of logic and reason to join the Republicans. Just like Ronald Reagan did.

Drudge informs us that Ms. Meiers, the Democrat, confessed to joining a liberal organization, the Democratic Progressive Voters League. Drudge hammers home that the Democratic Progressive Votes League was allied with the Democratic Party. I wonder if Drudge figured that out by himself.

I hereby nominate the intrepid reporter, Matt Drudge, for the Big Bubba Tempest in a Teapot Award for today. Drudge managed to blow the teapot top right up to orbit by roiling meaningless facts into a towering water spout of meaningless babble.

You have to read this for yourself.

Note To Mr. Krauthammer

OPINION IN BRIEF (From Federalist Patriot)

"It is particularly dismaying that this act should have been perpetrated by the conservative party. For half a century, liberals have corrupted the courts by turning them into an instrument of radical social change on questions—school prayer, abortion, busing, death penalty—that properly belong to the elected branches of government. Conservatives have opposed this arrogation of the legislative role and called for the restoration of the purely interpretive role of the court. To nominate someone whose adult life reveals no record of even participation in debates about constitutional interpretation is an insult to the institution, and to that vision of the institution. There are 1,084,504 lawyers in the U.S. What distinguishes Harriet Miers from any of them other than her connection with the president?" —Charles Krauthammer

Dear Mr. Krauthammer,

I am only a flyover country hayseed. I am a lifelong conservative. My focus has been on the power of the Supreme Court of the United States for many years now. Our constitutional system has been perverted by an out of control judiciary legislating from the bench. Obviously the cure is the hope that a conservative President will be in office when vacancies occur to restore some balance to the process. The progressive liberal demoracists long ago threw the Democratic voters of America in the ditch to surreptitiously legislate from the bench. The bench legislating avoids the embarrassment of elected progressive liberal demoracists having to explain to their voting base why they are not serving their best interests. They may have reached their left leaning limits if they lose the Presidency again in 2008. That may force a reality check. Even the most somnolent of voters will awake to reality eventually.

The heart of this issue is exactly Harriet Meier's lack of a discernible record. Happily that is her greatest asset. If she dropped gum wrappers in the park the mob would be on her as a public litterer and destroyer of the environment. If she jaywalked in Dallas she would be an out of control scofflaw. Heaven forbid lane changes without a turn signal. Right now her main problem is dealing with the Matt Drudge Report that she (ohmygosh!!) voted for Ronald Reagan one time.

Mr. Krauthammer here's the deal. George W. Bush is winding down his Presidency. The importance of his legacy increases as his days diminish. I think he is determined to have his Supreme Court of the United States appointments be the cornerstone of his legacy. He could very well be faced with a third vacancy prior to leaving office. President Bush's legacy will in the end turn on two or three appointments to our highest court. If you actually believe that President Bush would waste this appointment you have probably crossed over to the ranks of the smug pseudo intellectuals who tout the President's alleged intellectual deficiencies as compared to their presumed superiority. I will go with the President's choice.

An Agreeable Read

I just completed reading, on the internet, The Thirteenth Tribe The Khazar Empire and its Heritage by Arthur Koestler. It was a very interesting book that persuaded me of some startling possibilities about Jewish People. The title, The Thirteenth Tribe, was actually a tease. Since the Khazars were a Turkic people, speaking a Turkic language they obviously could have no connection with Israel. They were part of the explosion from the steppes of Asia that swept West into Eastern Europe.

The Khazars may have been a mere historical footnote if not for one very important turn of events. The Khazars C. A.D. 740 adopted Judaism. There are few primary source documents about the Khazars. They are now extinct as a separate nation of peoples. The Khazars finally succumbed to conquest and expansionist pressures that caused their disintegration as a separate peoples C. A.D. 965.

Koestler makes it clear that the history of the Khazars is difficult because of the availability of few primary sources. The sources that are available sometimes amount to little more than fascinating morsels of incomplete information with many gaps. Koestler constantly reminds his readers of the problem.

Koestler comes to a startling conclusion. Jews have traditionally divided into two groups. Jews who were expelled from Spain and Portugal, after 1492, are The Sephardim. The word is derived from the Hebrew word for Spain “Sepharad.” The Jews of Western, and Eastern, Europe are known as The Ashkenazim. The source of this name takes us to straight to the Khazar controversy. Many sources say simply that from the middle ages Ashkenaz was a name applied to the Jews of Western Europe. It is interesting to note that Ashkenaz was a son of Gomer and a brother of Togarmah (Genesis 10:3). The Khazar King Joseph claimed to be descended from Togarmah. Jewish literature identifies Togarmah as the Father of the Turks.

The author’s premise is that the Khazar Jewish proselytes formed a significant portion of Eastern European Jewry (Ashkenazim). As previously noted Koestler frequently reminds the reader of the scantiness of primary sources to document the Khazars. He uses language, logic and reason to prove the possibility of his premise. If there are three things that will get my attention it is language, logic and reason. Koestler presents us with a well documented book that does not seem to contradict any of the primary sources about the Khazars that I was able to look at.

The appendices are every bit as fascinating as the main body of work. Particularly when Koestler examines issues of race and physical appearance. Modern genetic research has come to some startling conclusions about the Jewish priestly Cohens and Levites in the Jewish population and the possibility that the Khazars could be a significant source of Ashkenazim genetic material. This has been described by some as the “Khazar libel.” There is much contradiction, denial and spin going on in this area. Two interesting articles on the genetic aspect of the story are The Cohanim/DNA Connection and Geneticists Report Finding Central Asian Link to Ashkenazi Levites.

There is a Khazar.com site that is loaded with interesting links and info. That same site also has a very interesting genetics page, Jewish Genetics: Abstracts and Summaries. Finally the same site has what seems to be a very complete bibliography for further research. Bibliography of Khazar Studies (1901-Present) Compiled by Kevin Alan Brook

Taking A National Media Story Apart

Investigation Continues: Security Breach at the White House

“Leandro Aragoncillo, the alleged spy, who was half a million dollars in debt.“
Aragoncillo was $500,000 (Source: The Centre for Counterintelligence and Security Studies (CI Centre)™ in debt at the time of his arrest. The debt consisted mainly on mortgages for rental properties. It is not logical that $500,000 in debt for rental properties was static over a five year period. Whether or not this debt was burdensome is entirely dependent on the reliability of the net cash flow generated. This may have been a factor in “turning” Aragoncillo, however, “ethnic loyalties” is the most likely reason.

“Aragoncillo was working as an intelligence analyst for Vice President Al Gore.”

Aragoncillo was working, when he was arrested, as an intelligence analyst for the FBI. While assigned to the White House “worked for 31 months from July 1999 as an administration chief with the Vice Presidential Security detail, according to the Marine Corps.” Describing his position in the Vice President’s Office as “intelligence analyst” implies a much higher position of trust and responsibility than actually existed. Big Bubba’s bureaucratic instincts know that of the two, “intelligence analyst” and “administrative chief,” the latter could be a far more dangerous security risk than the former.

“Officials say Aragoncillo passed several lie detector tests that are routinely given to individuals with top secret clearances.”

This is probably true of the office/position where Aragoncillo was employed. Lie detector tests are not a routine requirement to maintain a security clearance. I do know that some government employees in sensitive positions are routinely given lie detector tests. I never took a lie detector test during my military service. I held a top secret/crypto clearance during most of my service. I only took one lie detector test during my entire Federal employment. That was given to me as a civil service employee and was not related to a security clearance issue.

“......they say he was put on a fast-track hiring plan based on his connections at the White House.”

This is an unlikely statement. Aragoncilla was a foot soldier in the trenches. It is unlikely that he ever swapped spit with Algore or Vice President Dick Cheney. Employees covered by the Office of Personnel Management hiring requirements have a difficult time shuffling through the employment back door. I submit that anything is possible. The question is whether it is likely. I personally do not believe that it was likely. I believe that Aragoncilla was hired based on his own merits and qualifications. The thought that he was hired because of his personal clout is ludicrous. We are talking about a naturalized citizen and retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant E7. Trust me. There are ex White House employees with more clout.

"People who knew him and worked close to him said his office space was festooned with pictures of the White House, him with the president, him with the vice president," said Cloonan, the former FBI agent. "Believe me, that carries a lot of input and a lot of sway."

I am not sure whose universe Cloonan was an FBI agent in, but his conclusions do seem a tad ridiculous. I think that the more likely scenario would be snickering and finger pointing behind Aragoncilla’s back. I have observed from early childhood until my middle age, up close and personal, the government picture taking industry. My house is full of photos taken on the government dime of people, places and events. You can bet your last yankee dollar that every stiff, slug or employee whoever passed through the White House gates, of any administration, was offered a photo op with the President of the United States. It’s good public relations for the highest ranking politician in the land.

National Media - Journalists, Or Entertainers?

This great article by Doug Schmitz in MichNews.com brings it all together for us.

Yellow journalism: Weak-kneed reporters and the problem of celebrity
By Doug Schmitz
MichNews.com
Oct 7, 2005

In the world of print and television news, celebrity has proven to be a potent aphrodisiac as well as a strong elixir that many media elites have succumbed to at the expense of quality news delivery. When so-called reporters – usually the ones with the bloated paychecks – are mentioned or even “star” in cameo roles on top-rated sitcoms and in movies, they have blurred the lines between objective news reportage and the lure of fame – especially given that the Hollywood Left hates President Bush with a passion.

Breaking America's grip on the net

After troubled negotiations in Geneva, the US may be forced to relinquish control of the internet to a coalition of governments

Kieren McCarthy

The Guardian

You would expect an announcement that would forever change the face of the internet to be a grand affair - a big stage, spotlights, media scrums and a charismatic frontman working the crowd.

How about a rotating chairmanship for the new European Union/United Nations committee to control the internet? This year France, next year Red China, then........... Yeah, right, like that is going to work for the benefit of all.

Sandy Berger In The News Again

Berger Accused of Reckless Driving in Va.

By PETE YOST
The Associated Press
Wednesday, October 5, 2005; 4:25 PM

WASHINGTON -- Two days after he was placed on probation last month for taking classified documents, former national security adviser Sandy Berger was accused of reckless driving in Virginia by police who said he was traveling 88 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.

One pundit theorized that Berger was seen leaving the scene stuffing the ticket down his socks.

It was some misdemeanor. Berger was fined $50,000.00, placed on two years probation, had his security clearance pulled for three years, and has to pay the $6,950.00 administration costs of his probation. Pretty high cost Berger paid for a Presidential legacy that cannot be salvaged. Seems to me the sentencing judge took the offense to be very serious. The probation office reminded Mr. Berger that all infractions of the law, while he was on probation, would be taken very seriously.

Big Bubba will confess that it is difficult to be serious about this case. Sandy Berger admitted to stuffing classified documents down his pants. Later the contrite Sandy Berger said that he had made an "honest mistake." Now that there is funny, I don't care who you are.

Woman bounced from flight for T-shirt

Susan Voyles
RENO GAZETTE-JOURNAL
Posted: 10/6/2005

A Washington state woman intends to press a civil-rights case against Southwest Airlines for booting her off a flight in Reno after fellow passengers complained about a message on her T-shirt.

Lorrie Heasley, of Woodland, Wash., was halfway home on a flight Tuesday that began in Los Angeles, wearing a T-shirt with the pictures of President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and a phrase similar to the popular film, "Meet the Fockers."

I also find the thinking of her, the ACLU and other assorted dim bulbs offensive. I frequently hear, in public, language that I find offensive. Particularly if I am accompanied by a female relative. You also see the same language on clothing. The ACLU and pseudo intellectuals do not sympathize with my being offended. As far as I am concerned we can set some type of standard for offensive language, written and oral, and enforce it.period.

It is mostly the short, to the point Anglo-Saxon words that I find offensive. If the lady had worn a t-shirt that said "Meet the Fornicators" I would not have been offended. I would have just shrugged it off as an encounter with yet another person of low class and breeding. Not too many people are actually offended by "copulate" because not too many will actually recognize the word.

Southwest Airlines, The Texas Airline, will give her the pittance that she is asking for her expenses. She will hold out her hand to accept and say that she will never fly on Southwest Airlines again. Southwest Airlines will heave a collective sigh of relief and think "thank goodness!"

Whatever Happened To The Drudge Report

Level 3 Peering Changes Causing Headaches
Roadrunner, Cogent users unable to hit major sites
Posted 2005-10-05 16:18:28

Both Roadrunner and Cogent users are complaining about a level 3 decision to turn off public peering with Cogent, likely because of an ongoing peering and contract spat. As a result, many broadband users can't hit websites such as Photo Bucket or The Drudge Report. Customers who call in for support are being told that the network partners are working on a resolution, but aren't given an ETA.

From The Big Bubba E-Mail Files

John O’Neill
Houston, Texas

Dear Friend,

Last year, when my fellow Swift Boat veterans and I spoke out about John Kerry, you rallied to our side. We will never forget your faith in our cause and your belief in our honesty. It made all the difference. Together we made history.

Like most of you, I believed our mission was over. We could all move on with our lives, return to our families and homes secure in the knowledge we had done the right thing for America, and for our children’s future.

Regrettably, that has not been the case for a distinguished group of Vietnam combat veterans who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us during last year’s campaign. Their situation has become so critical that I felt compelled to break our long silence to inform you of this urgent matter.

The Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation, an organization founded by some of the same POWs and their wives who joined with us to form Swift Boat Veterans and POWs for Truth, has become the target of vicious legal assaults – multiple lawsuits designed to silence the voices of the POWs.

The VVLF is being sued to punish the organization for the content of the POW documentary Stolen Honor, which contrasts their own accounts of their service in Vietnam and suffering in North Vietnamese prison camps with the claims of the antiwar movement.

They desperately need our help and I am asking, once more, for your support. I urge you to give what you can to assist these truly noble men and women.

It is no accident that this campaign to coerce and silence some of America’s most heroic figures from the Vietnam War has intensified just as the shrill voices of the extreme Left’s anti-military, blame-America-first propagandists are once again on the rise. Even Jane Fonda has resurfaced.

You might ask why the VVLF has been targeted in this legal assault – why attack men who endured years of unspeakable torture and suffering in defense of America? The answer lies in the question. These are among the most credible, living eyewitnesses to the trail of deceit and betrayal. All are highly decorated and each bears the scars and permanent physical disabilities of his long years in captivity. One is the recipient of our nation’s highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor. They paid for the right to voice their opinions with years of indescribable pain, hardship and torment. Their individual histories of perseverance under the direst of circumstances, and their fidelity to the principles of honor instilled in each American serving in uniform belie the despicable slanders laid at the feet of our military.

The POWs' very existence and their willingness to go public threaten the foundation of the Left’s propaganda, a lifetime of lies that accuse the U.S. military of being no better than the “armies of Genghis Khan.” It remains the Left’s most potent weapon as they continue to undermine the efforts of our Armed Forces and provide aid and comfort to America’s enemies.

The war for America’s conscience and soul rages on in the media, on the streets and quietly behind courtroom doors. In the vanguard of that battle, as they were some 40 years ago, are the POWs; some of America’s greatest heroes; men and their wives, fathers and mothers, many of them grandparents, who have already paid a heavy price for their loyalty and devotion to America and, sadly, find they must do so again today.

They deserve our respect, admiration and gratitude, but most of all our support, even as they try to protect and preserve the honor and reputations of an entire generation of American troops vilified by the extreme Left.

Won’t you stand up once more to defend our troops and veterans? Please give what you can to help the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation continue the still-unfinished task of setting the record straight about the Vietnam War and Vietnam vets.

This is every bit as important as our effort last year. If you’d like to stay informed about the VVLF’s ongoing work, please sign up for updates at the website.

Thank you again and God bless you and America.

Sincerely,

John O’Neill

Bush, The Texas Hayseed

Don't misunderestimate Miers
October 4th, 2005

President Bush is a politician trained in strategic thinking at Harvard Business School, and schooled in tactics by experience and advice, including the experience and advice of his father, whose most lasting political mistake was the nomination of David Souter. The nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court shows that he has learned his lessons well. Regrettably, a large contingent of conservative commentators does not yet grasp the strategy and tactics at work in this excellent nomination.

Note: The downfall of the Liar, Liar Pants on Fire Bush is an Idiot crowd is their total failure to accept the reality of President Bush.

This Just In From Matt Drudge

Janet Meiers is toast. She's never going to make it. Drudge is reporting that Meiers is a born again Christian. Aren't they disenfranchised because they are known to have constant thoughts of "What would Jesus Do?" She has been labeled an Evangelical Christian. The conventional wisdom of the Godless pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracists is that Evangelical Christians are the worst kind and a dangerous threat to the new state religion, secular humanism.
What is the world coming to these days? President Bush should have nominated someone more in tune with our modern society like a lesbian Wiccan single parent.

MIERS FOUND CHRIST, TURNED REPUBLICAN

By 1979, Harriet Miers, then in her mid-30s, had accomplished what some people take a lifetime to achieve. She was a partner at Locke Purnell Boren Laney & Neely, one of the most prestigious law firms in the South.

Grand Jury Re-Indicts DeLay on New Charge

Ronnie Earle's original indictment has been dropped because the lad tried to charge Tom DeLay with a violation that occured prior to enactment of the Great State of Texas 2003 campaign finance law that he was alleged to have violated. The new indictment is a charge that Tom DeLay conspired to launder money and engaged in money laundering. The money laundering charge carries up to life in prison. The price of political disagreement is very high indeed in the Great State of Texas.

Ronnie Earle has gone from the simply silly to the sublimely ridiculous. The only good to come out of this will be the months of entertainment and distraction of morons, low grade imbeciles, Ducks, mindless twits and pseudo intellectual progressive liberal rabid Bush hating demoracists.

NRA Launches National Boycott Against ConocoPhillips
Monday, August 01, 2005

LaPierre says NRA will “spare no effort or expense” to defend firearm freedom of employees of anti-gun corporations -- NRA billboard campaign unveiled:

“ConocoPhillips is No Friend of the Second Amendment”

A quick check shows 37 Conoco Phillips branded outlets that I can boycott. My efforts will be 100% effective since I never buy gas there anyway. The pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracists are always complaining about corporate interference in affairs of government. That would certainly seem to be the case in Conoco Phillips blatant interference in the Second Amendment rights of the citizens of the State of Oklahoma. Despite that do not expect a hue and cry from the demoracists on this issue.

The Old Gray Lady Ain't What She Used To Be, Ain't What She Used To Be.....

Never mind the newsmakers. The old gray lady is into news invention. Judith Miller obviously hoped that she would emerge from eighty-five days of incarceration, for refusing to divulge a source, as a sainted icon of journalistic integrity. Never mind her reputation as a gullible journalist hack. Especially never mind the fact that I. Lewis (Sco0ter) Libby had released her from confidentiality a year ago. Never mind that he repeatedly released her from confidentiality during the past twelve months and during her 85 days of incarceration. Now how would that look when she was trying to be Saint Judith of the Times? She would never be recognized as such by public acclamation, however, Judith Miller was making one heck of a run at manufacturing that sainted status.

The pope of the New York Times, Arthur O. Sulzberger, Jr., Publisher, Judith (St. Judith) Miller and Bill Keller, Executive Editor of the Times had this to say about the Gibralter of Journalistic Integrity, The New York Times, position on St. Judith's plight.

Let's review. Valerie (My wife is a career civil servant. She's apolitical. --Jos. Wilson) Plame and her husband Joseph ("It Will Be A Cold Day In Hell Before I Vote For A Republican, Even For Dog Catcher." --Jos. Wilson) Wilson got crossways with the administration because Joseph decided to be an outspoken critic of the President, his Administration and the War in Iraq. What has happened here is "Dog Catcher" Wilson's shenanigans trumped "Apolitical" Plame's alleged apoliticalism. Did a political agenda, or nepotism, the root of her pushing for her husband's Niger assignment? Here's a newsflash for those outside of government service. The member's (Federal or military) spouse and family can severely impact their career. I live across the street from a family that the Air Force sent home from Germany forty years ago for their misconduct. The pater familia was left in Germany to complete his tour.

At least Valerie and Joseph did not have to suffer the ignominy of being hustled from the White House in a seatless van like the fired members of the travel office. How about Joe Wilson's Top Ten Worst Inaccuracies And Misstatements?

The pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracists are struggling to find a scandal to hang on President Bush. They are finding the consensus All-American Perjurer and Philanderer William Jefferson Clinton has set a high standard of scandal that is difficult for others to attain. Hence the demoracist's grasping for straws with hurricanes, DeLay and Valerie Plame. Pathetic little people struggling mightily.

Big Bubba is willing to bet any takers a genuine, yankee dollar that President George W. Bush's legacy will quickly overtake the bottom dwelling legacy of William Jefferson Clinton. Well, du-uh, that's a no brainer. If John Gotti was posthumusly named President he would have a better legacy than William Jefferson Clinton.

That's reality, demoracists, deal with it.

Texas Smear Machine Targets DeLay
By Peter Flaherty
Published 9/23/2004 12:09:06 AM (The American Spectator)

At stake in 2002 was control of the Texas legislature, which was to redraw congressional district lines. Corporate contributions to legislative candidates are illegal in Texas. The DeLay aides stand accused of violating that prohibition, along with eight companies like Sears Roebuck that provided the funds. The corporate money, however, never went to the candidates. Instead, it went to a much larger fund for state elections controlled by the Republican National Committee in Washington. That committee made contributions to Texas legislative candidates, constituting what Earle now charges is "money laundering."

The only problem is that similar transactions are conducted by both parties in many states, including Texas. In fact, on October 31, 2002, the Texas Democratic Party sent the Democratic National Committee (DNC) $75,000, and on the same day, the DNC sent the Texas Democratic Party $75,000. On July 19, 2001, the Texas Democratic Party sent the DNC $50,000 and, again on the same day, the DNC sent the Texas Democratic Party $60,000. On June 8, 2001, the Texas Democratic Party sent the DNC $50,000. That very same day, the DNC sent the Texas Democratic Party $60,000.

Red Alert!

Does "Red Alert!" sound appropriate, or what, to talk about Err America seems to be in trouble. That's why my "err America" is upside down, the traditional plea for help. Perhaps you missed it. Err America is out there on the corner of the air waves holding up their cardboard sign begging for money to keep operating. Tsk, tsk, they can't produce ad revenues based on the vast numbers of defective pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracists tuning in daily? They can't find the tin foil hat frequency? Too many people think Franken is an idiot?

While traveling to the little Ms Big Bubbette's house last week I spotted a billboard. It had the looks of long neglect. It was informing passerbys of the joys of tuning to Radio 92.5 San Antonio's progressive radio. "We love the left" the billboard exclaimed. I was intrigued so I tuned to 92.5. Reception was difficult because I found out the station was actually located in Devine, Texas, about 34 miles south of San Antonio. Reception would fade in and out depending on my location in town. Let me tell y'all it was a hoot. I giggled and laughed for two days. I plan on entertaining myself again in the future from time to time. Normally when I am in my car I listen to the Bible Broadcasting Network. When I need a good old fashioned belly laugh I now have an option.

This station features "Big Ed" Schultz and his "straight talk from the heartland." The "heartland" would be Fargo, North Dakota. His signature phrase is, "We're getting hijacked by Bush and his neocon fascists." I am betting that despite Big Ed being in fly over America the Duck would love this guy.

Big Ed is preceeded by Stephanie Miller, a former stand-up comic. Steph informs us that, "As talk radio has more and more become a sea of right-wing wackos, I think the audience has finally realized the need to balance that with some good left-wing wackos, and I'm thrilled to be able to fill that need!" This woman is cute and funny. Very entertaining.

Want to know the flavor of this progressive liberal broadcast. Recently it was a hot topic of discussion how American troops had been ordered by their commanders to rape children so that the adults would fess up. Now that wasn't funny. It was sad that a mind could become so demented as to believe such trash.

There is redemption for all the nonsensical fol-de-rol foisted on the public by this Clear Channel outlet. They do air the greatest show in the history of radio The Phil Hendrie Show. This zany is quite possibly the most unhinged person in the history of radio. Two of his more memorable (to Big Bubba) schticks are the staring chocolate Easter Bunny and the black lady supervisor in the nursing home. If you are on the brink Phil Hendrie will push you over. Phil will help you forget all the other pretentious loudmouths Steph, O'Reilly, Big Ed, Rush, et al, and put some humor back in otherwise dull lives.

Big Bubba's Free Plug

I love this picture!!

The book sounds like fun,

HELP! MOM! There are LIBERALS Under My Bed! follows the adventures of Tommy and Lou, two regular boys who dream of starting a lemonade stand in order to earn enough to buy a swing set. Their dream goes quite well until liberals like Congresswoman Clunkton, Mayor Leach and Mr. Fussman attempt to tax and regulate their dream away.

"Our hat is off, here, to Katharine DeBrecht, the author of Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed."
--Rush Limbaugh

Many of you may remember the Rush Limbaugh above as Mr. Ducky's favorite conservative radio commentator. I rarely listen to the man. Mr. Ducky must listen to Limbaugh very often so I rely on his reports as to what Limbaugh has to say about issues.

Learn more about this book

This information was in an ad on a web page where I was reading about that paragon of "fair and balanced" reporting, the New York Times. It was also about that world class truth distortionist, Paul Krugman. It seems that the New York Times is having a retraction festival featuring Krugman and his famous truth distortionist stylings.
