Yeah, Olly!

Vegetable Oil And Tours Of 'Duty'
By Oliver North
August 29, 2005

FRANCE -- "Hanoi Jane" Fonda seems to have tired of her moniker. The wilted flower child who firmly established her place in American history when she mounted a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun has decided it's time to teach a whole new generation to blame America first. If she actually goes through with her plans for a new protest movement, she may well become known as "Jihadist Jane." It has a better ring. More alliteration.

Fonda says she wants to criss-cross the nation in a bus powered by vegetable oil, advocating the end of U.S. military operations in Iraq. She's inviting the families of war veterans to ride along as props because, she says, the veterans she met while hawking her autobiography encouraged her to "break her silence."

Big Bubba wants to know did Hanoi Jane apologize for her Vietnam era misdeeds to clear the way for the new more obnoxious Jihadist Jane. I have to admit Olly is right. Jihadist Jane does have a ring to it. I wonder if she will ditch her new found Christian beliefs for Islam. She is getting old and scary looking so she probably should go for a burkha rather than a hijab.

Misanthropundit.com Update

Looking for snake oil? Window shop the internet looking for website templates. Whew! It just left Big Bubba breathless. I spent all day Saturday roaming the web looking for templates and software. When I was ready to throw in the towel, I made a decision. I just received my new Front Page software. Now I am going back to the website template issue so that I do not have to reinvent the wheel. It is all starting to come together in Big Bubba's Big Ol' Pea Brain. I have a concept of how to put it all together in an appealing way to invite comment on articles easily accessed on the internet, my humble commentary, and forums to comment on the various and sundry. I will continue this Blog in this same format, but there will be a change in content. I think I can pull it off and it will be close to what we have been talking about.

The adversity in this whole process is that I have been trying to deal with a cut on my heel for the past several weeks. I went to my physician last week and the podiatrist yesterday. The podiatrist pulled out the knife and started "trimming" my heel sans anesthesia. Ya gotta be hard! I am still limping.

Then there is "La Flor de mi Vida," my granddaughter. When she speaks, I listen. When she says come, I run. I have so much on the table I am having trouble getting it all done. I don't know where I ever found the time to go to work every day! Look for the under construction to start showing signs of construction.

Big Bubba's Big Question About Mainstream America

I am sitting here listening to Senator Schumer, D-NY, and Senator Cornyn, R-TX, being interviewed about the Judge Roberts confirmation. Senator Schumer made the statement that the progressive liberal demoracists were looking for a nominee who was not outside of the American mainstream. Question. How does your average pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracist know what is mainstream and what is not? The losers keep on losing oblivious to the fact that mainstream (flyover) America strenuously objects to their concept of what is mainstream and will continue to vote against them.

When The Left Coast Acts Crazy Can The Right Coast Be Far Behind?

Judge John G. Roberts has left little hard evidence of his views on abortion in recent years and is widely expected to try to avoid the issue in his coming confirmation hearings.

But there is little mystery about the views of his wife, Jane Sullivan Roberts, a Roman Catholic lawyer from the Bronx whose pro bono work for Feminists for Life is drawing intense interest in the ideologically charged environment of a Supreme Court confirmation debate.

Big Bubba observes, with amusement, the NY Times has answered the liberal petulance of the LA LA Times with their own inanity. Be prepared for the opening assault on the candidacy of Judge Roberts to actually be a full frontal on his wife. If the pseudo intellectual progressive liberal demoracists believe that Ms. Roberts is fair game can attacks on the children be far behind? We have seen that one of his children is a national TV squirmer. I do not understand the significance because national TV networks make Big Bubba squirm in intellectual torment.

You don't think that it will happen? We have been informed that yankees have discipline, courage and a sense of fair play. In this case the front man for the yankees sense of discipline, courage and fair play is the noted conservative Senator from Massachusetts, Senator Ted Kennedy. Why do I have a problem making the connection between Senator Kennedy and a sense of discipline, courage and fair play? Everytime that Big Bubba thinks Kennedy he thinks bridges. I just cannot help myself. He always looks bloated and red-faced. Is he still a drinker?

Senator Kennedy stated that Ms. Roberts should be off-limits to the confirmation process. That and the NY Times piece make me think that the Roberts better don helmets, flak jackets and head for their bunker because the demoracists will be gunning for them.

Big Bubba's Big La La Laugh of the Day from La La Land

The (over)exercise of power
A week ago, when President Bush met with Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III to interview him for a potential Supreme Court nomination, the conversation turned to exercise. When asked by the president of the United States how often he exercised, Wilkinson impressively responded that he runs 3 1/2 miles a day. Bush urged him to adopt more cross-training. "He warned me of impending doom," Wilkinson told the New York Times.

Am I the only person who finds this disturbing? I don't mean the fact that Bush would vet his selection for the highest court in the land in part on something utterly trivial. That's expected. What I mean is the fact that Bush has an obsession with exercise that borders on the creepy.

Big Bubba wants someone to pinch him quick. The LA Times, that's Los Angeles, right? Is that not the same La La Land where all the fruits and nuts dine exclusively on fruits and nuts? Is this not the same La La Land that would cause a total and complete collapse of the spandex market should they stop exercising? Big Bubba just doesn't know. I just don't know. What do these people want? Help, anyone, anyone?

The Senator's Surprise - Their Soldier Constituents Vote

Soldiers from Massachusetts and Hawaii who work at the U.S. military detention facility at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, gave visiting home-state senators a piece of their mind last week.
Sens. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, and Daniel K. Akaka, Hawaii Democrat, met with several soldiers during a visit led by Armed Services Committee Chairman Sen. John W. Warner, Virginia Republican.
Pentagon officials said soldiers criticized the harsh comments made recently by Senate Democrats.
Sen. Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the Senate's No. 2 Democrat, last month invoked widespread military outrage when he compared Guantanamo to the prison labor systems used by communist tyrant Josef Stalin, Cambodia's Pol Pot and Adolf Hitler.

Big Bubba's Big Question

You don't think that the BBC will start using the word terrorist do you? Good Grief!! I just heard President Bush call these people cold blooded killers? What's next? Cold blooded muslim terrorist killers? Muslims. Why does it always have to be muslims? Don't French Catholics or German Lutherans ever do anything? Aren't there any suspicious Baptists to pin something on besides dancing on Sundays or jaywalking?

Why are the news stories always showing pictures of muslims? What's that all about? Nobody is ever going to see one of these individuals anyway. Why not use something a little less stereotypical? Why not use generic photos like those in picture frames for sale at the store? Couldn't a White Anglo Saxon Protestant be a terrorist? It could happen.

The Israeli's bulldoze the homes of, well you know the word. They don't say please and thank you. They don't go to court for five years. They simply bulldoze the house. I have an idea. Anyone taking part in, or convicted of, well you know the word, activities serves his time and every one of his blood relatives is deported back to whence they came from originally. Undoubtedly some innocent people will be hurt. Too bad, but, if you and your spawn were not granted the hospitality of our country (Britain and us) our citizens would not be dead and maimed. If you respect our hospitality and enjoy your life here encourage your relatives not to blow theirselves to hell.

Attila and his men would ride up to a Russian town. They always told the people to immediately surrender unconditionally or "only God knows what would happen." Word soon got out that apparently what "God knew" was that if a town did not surrender unconditionally every man, woman and child would be slaughtered without mercy. Unconditional surrender and life basically continued as before.

Deport and the muslims will get the message.

I have previously referenced this story, but I do not believe I provided a citation. Here it is. Look closely, chilluns, it would seem that once again us dumb flyover hayseeds in the South and the midwest have the advantage.

(CNSNews.com) - A major conference on HIV-AIDS will soon hear about new research linking male circumcision with dramatically reduced HIV infection rates, but the finding is unlikely to end a long running debate over the procedure.

A recent study found that the procedure lowered the risk of contracting HIV from intercourse with infected women by about 70 percent. That has prompted calls for male circumcision to be promoted in the fight against AIDS.French and South African researchers worked with 3,000 uninfected South African men aged 18-24, half of whom were circumcised. So radical were the results that the study reportedly was stopped early to give the uncircumcised participants the opportunity to be circumcised if they wished.

Fifty six centuries of the finest health protection that money could never buy provided to His children by the Father of All Creation.

This is downright interesting information. Pigs feet will never taste the same again.

And now a word from our frozen north.

Give Me Your Attention In The Blogosphere

Today's buzz is that the Blogosphere should be abuzz with le affaire Rove. Supposedly all intrepid Blogonauts should be jumping on this story. Why do the tempests in a teacup crowd always expect everyone to jump in their turbulent little brews of gossip, innuendo and half truths? My initial thought for Big Bubba's website was to have a running commentary on White House press conference stupid questions. Whether the administration is Republican or demoracist dumb press corps questions are de rigeur. With the Rove brouhaha that idea has recurred to Big Bubba with the current surplus of really dumb questions about Karl Rove, Valerie Plame and her hubby, John C. Wilson IV. I think our heroine, Ann Coulter, has the proper perspective of disdain for this non-story. Big Bubba officially proclaims Big Bubba's Big Blog First Weekly Ann Coulter Commentary Day. I certainly recommend her article this week, MISSION IMPLAUSIBLE, to one and all. As usual Miss Ann is witty, observant and spot on in her commentary.

While nosing around Miss Ann's website, I gained a new found respect for the talents of this women. Please look closely at the exquisite form that she displays in this photo. Take it from former Drill Sergeant Big Bubba the gal knows something about proper firing positions. Notice left elbow braced inside of left leg with no bone to bone (elbow to kneecap) contact, cheek to stock spot weld, and raised right elbow. Right elbow should be slightly higher, parallel to the ground, Miss Ann. Overall fine form. Big Bubba is in love. I wonder if she has a duck in her sights?

Big Bubba hopes no one gets upset over the use of Miss Ann's photos. They are not identified as copyrighted on her website. Such beauty, grace and intellect demands to be shared with the world.

I love this woman!

Prepare For The Coming Battle

Quote of the week (from Federalist Patriot No. 05-27)...

"The struggle over the Supreme Court is not just about law: it is about the future of our culture. To restore the Court's integrity will require a minimum of three appointments of men and women who have so firm an understanding of the judicial function that they will not drift left once on the bench. Choosing, and fighting for, the right man or woman to replace Justice O'Connor is the place to start. That will be difficult, but the stakes are the legitimate scope of self-government and an end to judicially imposed moral disorder." --Robert Bork

How To Irritate A Libtard

Place one of these rocks in plain view of the public. Your front lawn, Knights of Columbus Hall, your Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion, or some such place that will bother passing libtards.

I am considering my front lawn, but most folks in these parts are sane unlike the color of depression, blue, states so it wouldn't cause much of a stir.

Let's take back what is ours, one Nation under God, founded on the religious beliefs and morals of our forefathers.

The libtards falsely claim that Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, his supporters, and the media "echoed the notion that the Ten Commandments are the sole source of American law" Was that what Judge Roy Moore was really saying about his Ten Commandments memorial? Go find out what he was really saying, "The Ten Commandments Monument depicts the moral foundation of law in America, and bears excerpts from the text of the Ten Commandments of God.", and much more at his web site.

Project Moses to buy your monument.

Never Mind Separation of Church And State....................

..........can we do something to separate the American Civil Liberties Union and secular humanists to a place where they can find true happiness based on their
(im)moral standards and petty pseudo intellectuality? Why don't they go somewhere where they feel more at home? Some place Godless, hopeless and amoral like say Cuba or Venezuela.

My unhappy ancestors left Europe to come to America for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I simply cannot find any ancestor who came to these shores who was not a believer escaping old Europe's persecution of people of faith. They did not establish a secular humanist state. They established a great Nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles and a belief, faith and trust in the God of Israel. Our laws are a legacy of the Ten Commandments. The God of Israel, prayer, the Ten Commandments have all been part of our culture expressed as public art, in our public rituals and in the hearts of the people since the inception of this great shining city on a hill. It is that beacon that continued, through the ages, to attract people to these shores not the dim bulb of the ACLUistas and the secular humanists.

America needs to stand up and take notice of the attempted destruction of our Nation by these people. The proof is the total destruction of our institutions of higher education that have been morphed by the secular humanists into institutions of higher ignorance. Their system is a huge failure. We are churning out pretentiously ignorant graduates with limited skills of communicating in English, reading and critical thinking. How is that going to work for us? We need to organize and fight back against these people.

So, what started Big Bubba's rant? This specifically,

Scouts may lose funding

but, you do not have to look far to find much, much more.

The ACLU vs. the Boy Scouts

ACLU ruins Boy Scout camp

ACLU TARGETS BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA IN CHICAGO

ACLU settlement allows DoD to continue Boy Scout support

Noted Without Comment Or Judgement

There are many articles floating around the internet about the recent Billy Graham New York City Crusade. Here is one of many, Bill, Hil join hands at Graham crusade, with some general information and specific information about the second night with Hillary and Bill visited.

This story, Why I Walked Out on Billy Graham By Rev. Rob Schenck, is also widely available on the internet. It never ceases to amaze me how some preachers seem to overlook key passages of the Bible.

Matthew 9:11-13 (King James Version)

11And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

12But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

13But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

"What July Fourth Means to Me" --Ronald Reagan (1981)

"For one who was born and grew up in the small towns of the Midwest, there is a special kind of nostalgia about the Fourth of July.

Somewhere in our [youth], we began to be aware of the meaning of [important national] days and with that awareness came the birth of patriotism. July Fourth is the birthday of our nation. I believed as a boy, and believe even more today, that it is the birthday of the greatest nation on earth.

The day of our nation's birth in that little hall in Philadelphia, [was] a day on which debate had raged for hours. The men gathered there were honorable men hard-pressed by a king who had flouted the very laws they were willing to obey. Even so, to sign the Declaration of Independence was such an irretrievable act that the walls resounded with the words "treason, the gallows, the headsman's axe," and the issue remained in doubt.

[On that day] 56 men, a little band so unique we have never seen their like since, had pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Some gave their lives in the war that followed, most gave their fortunes, and all preserved their sacred honor.

What manner of men were they? Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists, eleven were merchants and tradesmen, and nine were farmers. They were soft-spoken men of means and education; they were not an unwashed rabble. They had achieved security but valued freedom more. Their stories have not been told nearly enough.

John Hart was driven from the side of his desperately ill wife. For more than a year he lived in the forest and in caves before he returned to find his wife dead, his children vanished, his property destroyed. He died of exhaustion and a broken heart.

Carter Braxton of Virginia lost all his ships, sold his home to pay his debts, and died in rags. And so it was with Ellery, Clymer, Hall, Walton, Gwinnett, Rutledge, Morris, Livingston and Middleton. Nelson personally urged Washington to fire on his home and destroy it when it became the headquarters for General Cornwallis. Nelson died bankrupt.

But they sired a nation that grew from sea to shining sea. Five million farms, quiet villages, cities that never sleep, three million square miles of forest, field, mountain and desert, 227 million people with a pedigree that includes the bloodlines of all the world. In recent years, however, I've come to think of that day as more than just the birthday of a nation.

It also commemorates the only true philosophical revolution in all history.

Oh, there have been revolutions before and since ours. But those revolutions simply exchanged one set of rules for another. Ours was a revolution that changed the very concept of government.

Let the Fourth of July always be a reminder that here in this land, for the first time, it was decided that man is born with certain God-given rights; that government is only a convenience created and managed by the people, with no powers of its own except those voluntarily granted to it by the people.

We sometimes forget that great truth, and we never should."

Ronald Reagan's thoughts on the Fourth of July are from the Federalist Patriot No. 05-26, dated 30 June 2005. The Federalist Patriot is really a superb conservative thought publication. Big Bubba's Big Recommendation is that you follow the links to get your own free subscription via e-mail. I also love these three other quotes that are in this edition,

"Our cause is noble; it is the cause of mankind!" --George Washington (1779)

"We have this day restored the Sovereign to whom alone men ought to be obedient." --Samuel Adams, reflecting on the original Independence Day

"One of the most essential branches of English liberty is the freedom of one's house. A man's house is his castle." --James Otis (1761)

John Winthrop, aboard the ship Arabella lying off the shore of Massachusetts, wrote in 1630: "For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken, and so cause Him to withdraw His present help from us, we shall be made a story and a by-word through the world. We shall open the mouths of enemies to speak evil of the ways of God, and all professors for God's sake. We shall shame the faces of many of God's worthy servants, and cause their prayers to be turned into curses upon us till we be consumed out of the good land whither we are going. ... Therefore let us choose life, that we and our seed may live, by obeying His voice and cleaving to Him, for He is our life and our prosperity." (Ronald Reagan often cited Winthrop's image of a "city upon a hill" as inspiration for his revival of fidelity to our Founding beliefs 350 years later.)
